Archives Assistant Nichole Manlove joined Cranbrook Archives in March 2020. She assists in processing analog and digital materials, thus helping to facilitate access to collections. A native of Detroit, Nichole holds an undergraduate degree in Advertising from Michigan State University (2000), as well as a Master of Library and Information Science (2017) and a Graduate Certificate in Archival Administration (2016) from Wayne State University. Nichole’s student and early career experience in archives and research libraries includes work at the Charles H. Wright Museum of African American History, Archives and Research Library; the Detroit Institute of Arts, Research Library and Archives; the Detroit Historical Society, Collections Resource Center; and the Walter P. Reuther Library, Archives of Labor and Urban Affairs. Previous to joining Cranbrook, Nichole worked as a Project Archivist for the University of Michigan’s Bentley Historical Library. Her interests include collection development and management, arrangement and description, outreach, and access.
