Join us as we celebrate the iconic historic homes of the Cranbrook Educational Community: Cranbrook House, Saarinen House, and the recent extraordinary gift of Frank Lloyd Wright's Smith House. Limited seating still available.

Sunday Evening, June 24, 2018
4:00pm - 6:00pm:
Meet our Guests of Honor in Smith House and Saarinen House
6:00pm:
Doors Open for an Evening of Celebration in Cranbrook House

Join us as we celebrate the iconic historic homes of the Cranbrook Educational Community: Cranbrook House, Saarinen House, and the recent extraordinary gift of Frank Lloyd Wright's Smith House. It will be a night to remember as we step back in time when all three homes were alive with family and friends.

Our Guests of Honor include Anne Smith Towbes, whose family recently donated the Smith House to Cranbrook through The Towbes Foundation; Virginia Fox, granddaughter of Ellen and George Booth, Cranbrook’s founders; and Robert Saarinen Swanson and Karen Swanson, grandson and great granddaughter of Loja and Eliel Saarinen.

The night will include a live auction, entertainment, and music, as well as fine food, signature drinks, cars, and fashion from the eras of all three homes. With the jazz of the roaring 20s, the Hollywood glamour of the 30s, the swinging sounds of the 40s, and the Mad Men cool of the 50s—it will, indeed, be a night to remember— A HOUSE PARTY AT CRANBROOK!

Individual Tickets: $375
Your experience will begin between 4:00pm and 6:00pm at Cranbrook House, with complimentary valet parking. A shuttle will take you to the Smith House and Saarinen House (you are welcome to visit one or both of the homes) where you will have a chance to explore the homes while you enjoy conversation with our Guests of Honor. The doors to the HOUSE PARTY at Cranbrook House will open at 6:00pm. The celebration will begin on the North Terrace with signature drinks, such as a rum-running prohibition craft cocktail and retro hors d’oeuvres, and a live auction that will highlight unique house-related experiences (such as a tour of Lafayette Park in Detroit followed by a summer soiree in the Mies van der Rohe-designed town house of Kimberly and Bruce Peterson, or a private evening “Toast and Tour” of Frank Lloyd Wright’s celebrated Meyer May House in Grand Rapids). Dinner will be served throughout the magnificent Cranbrook House, followed by an after-glow with dancing, drinks, and live entertainment. Join us as we step back in time!

For more information and to purchase individual tickets, please contact Gregory Wittkopp, Director, Cranbrook Center for Collections and Research, at 248.645.3315 or gwittkopp@cranbrook.edu.
