Eero Saarinen-Focused Tour of Cranbrook Archives, Cranbrook Art Museum, Collections Vault, and the Cranbrook Academy of Art and original Cranbrook School for Boys Campuses

TOUR LOCATIONS AND CONTENT

  • Cranbrook Archives will include archival documents and photographs related to Eero Saarinen and his associates and General Motors
  • Collections Vault will include examples of furniture and textiles custom-designed by Eero Saarinen and his associates for the GM Technical Center
  • Cranbrook Academy of Art will examine the architecture that Eero Saarinen worked on collaboratively with his father Eliel Saarinen, and notable buildings along Academy Way.
  • Cranbrook School for Boys will include a behind-the-scenes tour of the school and grounds, including the Upper Dining Hall and Hoey Hall, which include early Eero Saarinen-design elements.
