Associate Archivist Xavi Danto is responsible for the sustainability and access of analog and digital archival collections, primarily processing and preserving materials in all formats. They pursued a career in archives after receiving a BA in Visual and Critical Studies from the School of the Art Institute of Chicago, where their studies focused on performance, poetics, and contemporary art. In the past five years, they have held positions at various academic and cultural heritage organizations including Lincoln Center for the Performing Arts, Rhizome at the New Museum, and the Pratt Institute Archives, among others. They received an MS in Library and Information Science with an Advanced Certificate in Archives from Pratt Institute in 2025, and they are currently a Member at Large on the Executive Board for the Greater New York Metropolitan Area Chapter/Association of College and Research Libraries (ACRL/NY) through 2028.
