Simple Forms, Stunning Glazes: The Gerald W. McNeely Collection of Pewabic Pottery

The extraordinary collection includes examples of Mary Chase Perry Stratton’s radical and stunning glazes, and is one of the most comprehensive public collections of work from the historic Pottery. The catalog also documents examples of Pewabic Pottery included in the collections of Cranbrook Art Museum as well as installations of Pewabic tiles located across Cranbrook’s National Historic Landmark campus, including the Baptistry ceiling in Christ Church Cranbrook, and the fireplace in the living room of Saarinen House, the former home of Eliel and Loja Saarinen on Academy Way.
